Refosco originates in the area between Karst and Istria. It has been cultivated in the “Lison Pramaggiore” with such excellent results that it has been designated a D.O.C. wine.

Clayey, silty and slightly alkaline.

RED WINE PRODUCTION
Maceration for 25-30 days at a controlled temperature of 24/28°C. Pump-overs are done with oxygen addition and followed by soft pressing. Being a full-bodied and tannic wine, after the fermentation it is refined through micro-oxygenator. This process softens tannins and imparts elegance into the wine.

ORGANOLEPTIC QUALITIES
A full-bodied, rich in tannins and high in acidity wine, its rubyred color is intense and violet-tinted. It has a vinous, heady, characteristic and unmistakable fragrance reminiscent of raspberry, wild blackberry and wild strawberry. It becomes more refined with aging, taking on a bitterish edge while developing a full, pleasing bouquet.

TO ADD TO
This wine suits very well many dishes typical of the Friuli cooking, stewed and roast meat and game.
